Hot hazy July day in Richmond Park, during the pandemic of 2021. Showing a path through Richmond Park on this happy day.

HAPPY DAY (The path through Richmond Park). Oil on canvas, 122 x 92 cm

Jackie paints contemporary landscapes and abstracts. She loves the out of doors and to bring the atmosphere and beauty of nature into people’s homes. One painting on the wall of a home brings the outside environment inside and the room comes to life. The viewer is able to share in her experience.

She works mainly from drawings and oil sketches done in the open air, and recent paintings include work inspired by the beautiful area around Richmond where she lives. The large painting ‘Happy Day’ was painted on a hot day in Richmond Park and ‘Night on Richmond Hill’ created on the hottest night ever recorded, in July 2022, the moon shining on the Hill.

The new painting ‘Bouquet’ is one of a series of expressionistic abstracts, created in 2024.

Jackie is a graduate of Camberwell College of Arts, London. After a successful career in media and publishing management she is now a full time artist, based at Kew Studio.

For any enquiries or to view the paintings, please email her via Kew Studio.
